• Please be advised that any student in possession of inappropriate paraphernalia (drugs, lighters, weapons, matches, etc.) on school property will be subject to long term suspension. There will be random visits from the drug dogs throughout the year. Please remember that the safety of our students and staff is the first priority of CEC. If you know of anyone that has these materials on campus, please advise a staff member immediately.

  • Please be aware that we must have a signed copy of the Acceptable Use Policy on file and computer insurance money ($30) must be turned in before you are able to get your computer for the school year. There will not be any scholarships to help pay for the computer insurance.

  • This year we will not be able to provide bus transportation home on the first three (3) Fridays in the school year, August 7, 14, and 21st, as well as on five (5) S days during the school year, October 10, November 6, December 18, February 12, and March 12.

  • Parents, please do NOT pick up your student in the CEC Faculty parking lot at the end of the school day. All students will be in the student parking lot at the end of the school day. Please follow traffic around the loop and into the parking lot to pick up your student. This will prevent traffic jams and help keep our students safe. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • We will be sending home important course paperwork (video permission and lab safety guidelines to name a few) during the first week of school – so please be on the lookout for those handouts. We will post our syllabi and other important documents on our respective course websites so that they will be available throughout the school year for your reference.

Dear 10th Grade CEC Students and Families,

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you, and your child back to Craven Early College for another school year. We hope you have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer. The year ahead will be filled with many challenges, for you as parents, for ourselves as teachers, and especially for the students.
